BUC Mission

Bridgewater UC is involved with many mission activities such as supporting the two Pastoral Care Workers at schools in our local area, Playgroup, Pancake Day supporting Uniting Care (Sunday Club,)  Lent Event, World Vision 40 hour famine (youth,) Stirling Christmas pageant and the Christmas Bowl Appeal.

A past initiative was the ‘Days for Girls’ project.  BUC women held a sewing day and some have become absorbed at home with sewing sanitary kits for girls and women overseas.  This enables the girls overseas to attend school for more days and is greatly appreciated.

Twice a year, we are also continuing to support the Hungry No More Café associated with Mt Barker UC by cooking a meal for around 40 people and then serving it.

Red Dove Cafe

At the Royal Adelaide Show some of our members volunteered at the Uniting Church’s Red Dove Cafe which each year raises funds for mission projects within Australia.
