Church Projects

Worship Area

After some great volunteer team work with digging tunnels under the floor (it only took 6 working bees!) the Worship area is now air conditioned – heating and cooling.  Have a look at the video below.

Exciting News!

Thanks to a grant from the Community Benefit Fund, Bridgewater Uniting Church we completed in 2016 an update of our two community meeting spaces: The Oak Community Centre (the building to the East of the church), and the Acorn meeting space at the back of the church.

The work on the Oak Community Centre has included:

  • Blinds to enclose the front verandah
  • New reverse cycle air conditioning units
  • New floor coverings
  • New Insulation

In addition we have been able to secure lighting upgrades to energy efficient lighting in The Oak Community Centre through the Retailer Energy Efficiency Scheme (REES).

Work in the Acorn meeting room area has given it a wonderful complete transformation with:

  • Fresh painting
  • New reverse cycle air conditioning units
  • New floor coverings
  • A new kitchenette
  • A new store room
  • New furniture and cushions
  • Great wall decorations

Thanks particularly to the youth for their great ideas in transforming this space.  It’s not just an area for the youth, but a real multipurpose space available for hire to many different groups.
